On the 11th April, we had the chance to visit the 10th edition of the fair Made in France which was shown for two days at the Carrousel of Louvre. As we are in our last year of studies, we are often trying to discover good production factories willing to help us young designers in the manufacturing process with a lower budget.
This fair exhibited the French heritage of “Savoir-Faire”(Know-How). Among the products shown here, we could find some pieces from the past collections of French designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Sonia Rykiel and Thierry Mugler.
80 stands were featuring representatives of 100% Made in France fashion factories. They highlighted skills of production which mix tradition, modernity, luxury and authenticity.
Although the economic crisis is affecting the fabrication of garments in France, we could clearly see in this fair that the expertise of luxury, Couture and tailoring is still present among those who know how to do it best.
It was a magnificent experience for us and we look forward to seeing the upcoming Made in France Fair next year.
