Fashion people gathered in London this past weekend from 29-30 March for the 3rd edition of The International Vogue Festival. As one of the most talked about events of the year, the festival brings together fashionistas from around the world to hear inspiring stories from fashion superstars. This year’s Vogue Festival welcomed many beloved faces of fashion: from Valentino and Naomi Campbell, to Manolo Blahnik and Alexa Chung. The extravaganza livened up the South Bank of London, transforming The Queen Elizabeth Hall into an unforgettable celebration of fashion. We travelled all the way to London to bring you an exclusive tour of this exciting event!
The Vogue Festival boasts a luxurious experience, including everything from cinema, boutiques, cafes, bars, spas, and salons. Visitors had a chance to get pampered with full makeovers from Burberry, hairstyles from Kerastase, manis from OPI, and receive the deluxe Harrods Live Backstage Runway Experience.
This year 3rd edition was an even bigger success than last year, with topics ranging from technical aspects such as: “Want to Work in Fashion? Vogue Fashion Master Class” with Lisa Armstrong, Sara Burton, Daniel Marks, Alexandra Shulman, and Louise Wilson, to practical panels from “What It’s Really Like to Be a Model?” with Karlie Kloss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Jourdan Dunn. Inspirational talks such as “My Fashion Life” with Manolo Blahnik, Angela Missoni, and Tory Burch were enriching for those looking to launch their own label. Our favorite speaker of the event was the incredible and heart-warming story of “Valentino: the King of Glamour.”
The 2014 Vogue Festival was a remarkable event and we came away with many inspirations and encouragements. It is a valuable and enriching experience for those aspiring to break into the fashion industry. We predict the event will continue to expand every year. Due to its massive branding success, Vogue continues to strengthen its image as the fashion powerhouse. That being said, we cannot wait for the 4th edition of Vogue Festival in 2015.
