Strong, monochromatic and futuristic – the words that best describe the much awaited collaboration of design maven Alexander Wang for Swedish retail giant H&M which is set to release on the 6th of November 2014.The capsule collection features the designer’s typical taste of luxe sportswear replete with crop-tops, structured jackets, leggings, panelled pencil skirts in grungy shades of grey and black. While fashion fans wait with bated breath, the brand released a gritty fashion video on the 24th of October shot in an underground theatre in Islington featuring models Joan Smalls , Isabelli Fontana and footballer Andy Caroll all releasing their ‘inner Ninja’. The collection is a perfect amalgamation of practicality and style with elaborate ‘AW’ branding. Rather than creating affordable versions of pre-existing designer-wear, the motive was to create a unique line from scratch.
