Lockwood – a bar visit before midday that’s guilt free

Owned by brothers Oliver and Christophe Lechoux, Lockwood cocktail bar has drinks for all hours of the day covered. Located in the buzzing second district of Paris, kick your day off with a coffee or head over to Lockwood for some after work drinks. This spot is open all-day and (more importantly in Paris), everyday from Monday to Sunday.

Let’s start off with breakfast; if you’re in search of the good old English eggs and bacon or the healthy route of fresh fruits and muesli, just step inside. With a beautiful polished parquet floor and roof, the interior design offers a comforting and relaxing space.  If you’re feeling famished during your lunch break, you can always grab a fresh salad or ask about their ‘plat du jour’. With delicious meals that range between ‎€8- ‎€12 you can’t go wrong with a bite from Lockwood. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the coffee, yip it’s pretty great. And for those traditional tea lovers, they offer a wide selection of teas.

Finally if it’s cocktails or a couple of casual drinks you are looking for, look no further. With cocktails and beers available from only  ‎€6, let your taste buds explode with the exotic flavours offered in their cocktail concoctions. Moreover, if you happen to be riding solo, do not fear because the friendly staff at Lockwood are here. Speaking both French and English, they are always up for a chat.

Since it’s getting cold in Paris, these cozy spaces are high on my radar, covering clients for all days, hours, and food/drink needs. I’ve been informed that these brothers own coffee shop Ten Belles in Paris, so stay tuned for more details on my experience there, or let us know your thoughts if you’ve ticked that cafe off your list.
