Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs: When fashion and Christmas merge together
One thing that cannot go unnoticed for Christmas, aside from Santa Claus and gifts, is the Christmas tree. To celebrate the spirit of holiday season, every year since 1995, “Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs” has been held as an event where famous fashion houses and skilled artists gather to show their unique idea of a Christmas tree.
The event was first held in Paris by Marie-Christiane Marek, a fashion journalist and TV producer. It was quickly recognised and joined by many well-known names such as Dior, Guerlain and Chanel. It is worth pointing out that these Christmas trees will be auctioned for charity purposes and the money raised will be donated to a non-profit organization. The last edition of “Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs” raised 86,000 € for Foundation Avec, an organization fighting cancer.
This year Marie-Christiane will celebrate the 20th edition of her creation. The exhibition will be held from 21st November to 27th November, 2015 at the magnificent Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, 15 avenue Montaigne, 75008 Paris between 12AM and 6PM on weekd ays and 2PM to 5PM on Sunday, the entrance is free. If you haven’t had any idea for your Christmas trees, this would be a great opportunity to brainstorm with well-know designers and artists!
