On December 1st, Karl Lagerfeld will be presenting his “Once and Forever” short film, starring Kristen Stewart as Coco Chanel. The film will be screened for the first time in Rome, at the occasion of unveiling Chanel’s 12th Métiers d’art collection. The designer has chosen to present this year’s collection at the legendary Cinecittà cinema complex.
Chanel has decided to release a trailer to introduce their Chanel Métiers d’art Fall/Winter16/17 pre-collection. Both actresses Kristen Stewart and Geraldine Chaplin will portray Coco Chanel at different periods in her life. Jérémie Elkaïm, François Marthouret, Amanda Harlech, Jamie Bochert, Jake Davies, Baptiste Giabiconi and Laura Brown will also appear on screen. The story entitled “Once and Forever” is about a film production. It invites us to see the scenes from behind the cameras, the costumes trial and script meetings. It is the first time for Kristen Stewart to play the part of Coco Chanel while it is the fourth time for Geraldine Chaplin. “[Kristen Stewart] can look like Chanel, and I wanted to show Chanel through all the decades of her life and the comeback in the 1950’s,” said Karl Lagerfeld. Kristin Stewart has now become a Chanel Muse, as she will also be featured in the Métiers d’art Paris-Rome collection campaign, which will be in stores in May 2016.
