“A very chic and dynamic trade show. Made some great contacts over the 4 days with buyers as diverse as Le Bon Marché from Paris, Fashion Row from Hong Kong, L’Habibliothèque from Paris and even Bea’s from Carnac!”
January, it has to be in January for the fashion world to wake up from its winter sleep. Events are packing into the timetable like tons of bricks: The Spring Summer Fashion weeks, the ever-fabulous haute couture shows, Tranoï shows and last but not least, the biggest biannual trade show Who’s Next. This trade show is one of the leading exhibitions for women’s ready-to-wear, worldwide.
The exhibition was founded 20 years ago and since then it has been held twice a year. In January for Fall/Winter and in September for Spring/Summer. Run by professional staff and endorsed with experienced experts in the fashion industry, Who’s Next is host to more than 800 French and international brands. This year the event is happening alongside with Premiere Classe, a tradeshow for accessories, as well as Salon International de Lingerie, an exhibition/trade show for underwear.
Last year the show received more than 50,000 visitors and buyers from all over the world. This trade show is the perfect place for big brands to enlarge their market and find new customers, but also a great opportunity for young and new designers to gain exposure. Who’s Next is undoubtedly the best place to discover new trends and what is happening with fashion around the world.
At last year’s show in January 2015, we saw the rise of sequin, plaid and slogans in the trade show. These trends quickly became infectious within the following few months. This year, according to Trendstop, plastics, jewellery and mesh will dominate.

Since Paris’ sufferings much due to the terrorist attacks, this year’s show will tighten their security job, cars will be checked and luggage will be limited.“This could be a problem for some visitors, especially in terms of access, since it won’t be possible to always ensure it will be smooth at certain times,” explained Bertrand Foache, WSN Development’s co-director in a La Moda Channel interview, “but we hope visitors will understand, we have to do all that’s possible for their security” he added. Despite all of these disadvantages, the attraction of the show was still highly maintained and the number of advanced bookings did not decrease.
Don’t miss out, because there is lots in store for you at this year’s trade show. Who’s Next will be held at Porte de Versailles, 22-25 January 2016 from 9AM to 7PM. For more information regarding entrance and show schedules, please visit their website.
