Look out! The rock swings forward, hits all those matches and then everything falls down and becomes a mess, except it will not happen, at least not in this photo. But it still makes you kind of unnerving, right? Well, that’s Aaron Tilley and his latest work, the “In Anxious Anticipation” series.

While reading these lines, no doubt you are wondering what the series would have to do with a fashion blog. Well, you’re right, but we are going to talk about Aaron Tilley‘s  work in the field of fashion.

Tilley is a British photographer whose main work is about still life and interiors, since he likes arranging the items within the frame to create bold and provoking images. Throughout his career, he has had many collaborations with lifestyle journals and agencies such as Kinfolk, The Gourmand Journal, Prudential, and even Google. From time to time, his conceptual mind and unique setting has also attracted the fashion world.

Unlike other fashion photographers, his shoots mostly focus on objects, a model is rarely seen in his pictures. He also makes many associations between fashion and others things in life, but it seems he is living two worlds in his pictures, the lifestyle, which is usually with serious tone of color with an almost geometrical set, whereas the fashion one, on the contrary, is playful, energetic and somehow mischievous.

At the moment, Tilley likes to keep a low profile, concentrates on his work and does not venture far from the United Kingdom. But hopefully in the future, we wish to see many more anxious moments that he creates not only for a lifestyle journal but also for a big, high scale fashion magazine.
