5 tricks for a beauty winter

Winter is coming! And with its fritz, dry winds and frigid temperatures. It is a season that tends to damage our hair and skin. Here are the top 5 tricks for the season that would help you take care of your body and also to look stunning for the holidays.

1. Get away from the heat!

Using a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron dries hair out even more in winter. Also, try to avoid excessively hot water when you wash your hair, don’t do it too often and let it dry naturally.

2. Moisturizer is your best friend!

Try to find a moisturizer that’s oil based, rather than water based, as the oil will create a protective layer on the skin that retains more moisture. Do not forget sunscreen, even in winter. And keep drinking water, that will help your skin to look and feel healthier.

3. Helping hands!

The skin on your hands is thinner than most parts of the body and has fewer oil glands. It’s harder to keep your hands moist, especially in dry weather. Wear gloves when you go outside to protect them. Don’t forget your feet! they need some care too.

4. Winter Kiss!

Lips are another part of your face that needs to be taken care of. Applying lip moisturizer often is the best defense against lip chapping. Brush your lips with a toothbrush to get rid of that excess skin. Try to apply some lip balm every time you find yourself licking or biting your lips.

5. Exfoliate!

It’s the first step to make your skin better during this season. You can develop a ritual of using a body scrub once a week. This will help remove dry, flaky skin that usually appear at this time of the year. Plus, your moisturizer will do its job better and you will be ready for the holiday season with a healthy skin.
