Trend Alert: Flower Power

After the ballet trend we introduced shortly ago, a new feminine trend is ready to invade our streets. Floral prints, flower brooches and even make-up made of real field flowers welcome spring and milder days. Here are the key pieces for your flower bed-inspired look.

The Make-up:

At the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Spring 2017 show, the models’ faces and necks were decorated with dried flowers. Despite the beautiful effect, we have to admit that we haven’t tested its everyday suitability yet.

The Power Suit:

Power suits celebrate their big comeback since last year. This Acne Studios version is fresh off the Paris runway and convinces with its loose and feminine cut.

The Skirt:

Two main pattern trends meet in one skirt. Checked patterns could be seen all over during the last months. Now the plaid design gets revamped in this Christopher Kane piece.

The Maxi Dress:

chloe

Maxi dresses like this one from Chloé work for a stroll through the city as well as for a cocktail with friends in your favourite beach bar.

The Evening Gown:

marchesa

Flower prints do not merely work with casual outfits, as this stunning Marchesa gown with flower applications and tulle proves.

The Bustier:

Bustiers and corsets are already the trends of the moment. Currently, they are worn on top of blouses or pullovers, but in a few weeks, we will be able to wear for example this Michael Kors model without layers underneath.

The Swimsuit:

miu-miu

If your summer holiday seems sooo far away, you could increase the anticipation by calling this flower-printed Miu Miu swimsuit yours.

The Jewellery:

asos

In case you are not yet tired of your winter clothing or you want to wear a plain blouse or jacket, we recommend this Asos double brooch with a little chain detail.

The Bag:

To complete your floral outfit, you definitely need to add a bag in the same style. The models from Zara and Gucci show that there are versions for every budget.
