5 New Faces of the Modeling Industry
We often hear Hadid sisters and Kendall Jenner (well they are always together after all) coloring the most important shows in fashion weeks. They are always in the news. But in my opinion, besides their beautiful features, they have the connections and relationships with the most important people in the industry that helped them become such big stars in the modeling world. Well, what about the new faces? Girls who came from unknown cities and countries that not many people mention at all, sometimes we overlook how talented and promising they are, just because of less media exposures. Here are five of them that I’d like to introduce to you:
- Milena Litvinovskaya
Hailed from Russia, Milena Litvinovskaya is on the way to the peak of her modeling career. The fashion industry recently witnessed her coloring the most important runways in Milan, Paris, London, Tokyo (Milena opened Prada S/S 2017’s show!) and also gracing Vogue Russia, Elle Japan, Madame Figaro Japan, Interview Magazine and much more. Her short hair and slightly upturned deep blue eyes are some of this 16 years old’s virtues.
2. Chu Wong
Chu Wong‘s charm has spread to different fashion capitals without any doubt. After her appearance in many prestigious publications such as Marie Claire China, Harper’s Bazaar China, and Grazia Italy, Chu Wong’s boyish appearance brought her to the runways of Kenzo, Dior, Mulberry and Bottega Veneta. Chu Wong was also chosen to represent Balmain‘s Pre-Fall 2017 campaign.
3. Roos Abels
Agency: IMG Paris
Another 16 years old model, Roos Abels is a fashion darling of the year! Discovered in the Netherlands where she also started her career, it didn’t take long at all for Roos Abels to land her campaign jobs at Dior, Emilio Pucci, Gucci and steal the attention of casting directors that brought her to walk for Louis Vuitton and a long list of big brand names. What’s amazing is that she still tries to balance the ever so busy jobs with her academic world!
4. Hiandra Martinez
Agency: Ossygeno Models & NEXT Paris
Photographed for Yves Saint Laurent‘s Fall/ Winter 2017 campaign has brought the Dominican Republic beauty to stardom. Chosen to walk for Chanel, Stella McCartney, and J.W. Anderson this season, Hiandra Martinez is more than ready to board for another adventure in her career. With her strong features and bushy eyebrows, she has such uniquely beautiful combination that stands out in the modeling sphere.
5. Radhika Nair
The first Indian face to walk and exclusively booked for Balenciaga‘s Spring 2017 runway, model & photographer Radhika Nair has a lot of prospects in the future. The girl from Mumbai was recently signed by some of the most prestigious modeling agencies of the industry. She admitted that she was going with the flow in her career and looking forward to many more opportunities in the future.
