Spring 2017 Campaign: Our Top 5!
The rise of temperature and abundance of le soleil mark the beginning of spring, which I am sure you all have been waiting for since October (Read: beginning of winter). Before you prepare for spring picnics and sightseeing sessions (post about this will come up soon), let’s have a look at 5 best Spring/Summer 2017 campaigns by some of the brands we adore:
Photographed by Barbara Probst, whose works revolve around the same idea of “taking picture of a person taking picture of someone else”, Marni brought something different this time with the illusion of models being the photographers. The clean background was also complementing the colorful collection and the “photographers in action poses” modeled by Lisa Helene Kramer, Mali Koopman, Jess PW and Luisana Gonzalez.
2. Calvin Klein
2017 is definitely the year of change for Calvin Klein. New creative director, new team and new campaigns that captured so much attention and adoration by the fashion industry. It will not be possible to say the name “Raf Simons” without remembering Willy Vanderperre, his long-time collaborator and the photographer for this S/S 2017 Campaign. Shot in a gallery full of iconic artworks by Andy Warhol, Sterling Ruby (pictured above), Richard Prince and many more, the campaign itself acts as Simons’s interpretation of the American heritage brand that has become a lifestyle for many.
3. Miu Miu
The image of Elle Fanning, Karen Elson and Lara Stone lounging at the beach and having fun really makes us want to book a ticket somewhere tropical directly after seeing it. In this campaign of Miu Miu S/S 2017, Alasdair McLellan created the 1960s summer vibe through the vivid imageries, playful ambience and the mix between land and underwater shots together. Just the sight of young girls going out together in the sun makes you feel excited enough about spring and summer, that’s what these ad campaign are intended for.
4. Acne Studios
So mesmerized by Acne Studios’s S/S2017 Campaign by the Italian photographer, Paolo Roversi. There is nothing tropical or playful summer feel about it, but the story behind it is beautiful. Acne Studios featured 6 ladies from different fields in creative industry. Pictured above is Golshifteh Farahani, an Iranian actress and singer. It is the celebration of beauty in diversity from different women living in countries that are seen as “politically intense”.
5. Stella McCartney
“Girl Power!” screams all over from Stella McCartney‘s S/S2017 Campaign by Harley Weir. The strength of women is what McCartney aims for: “I wanted these images to be uplifting and have a positive message; all we have at the end of the day is love”, she stated. The warm tone emphasizes on the spring fling and dynamic poses from Dilone, Alanna, Charlee Fraser and McKenna really embody the women empowerment mood intended.
