Top 5 boutiques in Amsterdam

When we think about Amsterdam we often think of picturesque buildings, never ending canals, Dutch cheese, and much more. But often we fail to recognise or skip the amazing fashion boutiques which offer smart, ethical and chic options for everyone. Read on this list for the top 5 boutiques in Amsterdam to get the ultimate Dutch style.

1) PAUW – Leidsestraat 16, 1017 PA, Amsterdam

This boutique – which was founded by designer Madeleine Pauw offers an extensive range of items from brands such as Anne Claire, Dries van Noten or Baracuta. It drew my attention because it specialises in providing the most elegant and modern apparel.

2) ENNU – Cornelius Schuytstraat 15, 1071 JC, Amsterdam

This store shows quality in men’s and women’s brands for clothing and accessories. Ennu is mainly focused on Amsterdam’s youth culture. Carrying high-end brands like Rick Owens to Balmain, it maintains a reputation on the fashion scene in Amsterdam. Among the many visitors you can always spot some locals and get inspired by their styles and shopping decisions.

3) Claudia Strater – Kalverstraat 179, 1017, XB, Amsterdam

Claudia Strater, upmarket womenswear fashion chain, is Dutch in full glory. The design aesthetic includes elegant classics and business attire with clean sophistication. As this store reflects the Dutch style with absolute perfection it’s my personal favorite.

4) Laundry Industry – Sint Luciensteeg 18, 1012, PM, Amsterdam

Laundry Industry is another high-end womenswear and menswear label known for its high quality materials and subtle colours. Minimalism is its core design aesthetic with an eye for simplicity. As for the Scandinavians, the words simplicity and minimalism are the Dutch people’s mantra when it comes to fashion.

5.) Supertrash- Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat, 31, 1071 BM, Amsterdam

Supertrash‘s  goal is to bridge the gap between high street and high-end labels by offering affordable luxury. This brand and its collections have a cosmopolitan vibe which yet is accessible to the public. This store caters to the needs of young millenials and is a hit amongst the young and outgoing individuals.
