Dressing for Disney – Subtly

You’re going to Disneyland! Please take me with you. The park is so beautiful you’re going to want to take photos on every corner, so let’s start planning your outfit now! As an adult who loves Disney, I’ve always wanted to go to the park dressed as a character but not look foolish either. So here’s a quick guide to help you dress like your favourite character without the judgemental stares.

  1. Dressing like a Disney Princess:

If you’re anything like me, flouncing around in a big ol’ ballgown would be a dream come true. However, it’s not practical for Disney and you’ll have a bunch of little kids coming up to you to take photos with you – my nightmare. So I’ve found a couple of pieces to evoke certain Disney princesses. This skirt from H&M will let you send out Ariel vibes all day and this cute strappy top is so Cinderella.

H&M Skirt: €24.99, H&M Top: €34.99

2. Dressing like you’re part of the Galactic Empire (Star Wars):

Channel your inner dark side. Spoiler alert, you get a chance to meet and greet with Darth Vader at Disneyland, so you need to make sure you’re appropriately dressed. I went as Yoda, and Vader found me to tell me that I was a traitor, so don’t even think about going in as one of the rebel forces. Maybe even dress like Vader in this epic black cape dress from ASOS.

3. Going Through the Looking Glass (Alice in Wonderland):

A very merry unbirthday to you! Who me? Yes, you! The Alice maze is my favourite area of Disneyland. Escape reality with the Chesire Cat in this House of Holland vest top. Or explore Wonderland as Alice herself in a sweet blue and white dress.

House of Holland: £14, Superdry: £40

Have fun at Disneyland ♥
