Tommy Hilfiger recently introduced the segment of a new line called “Runway of Dreams”, created for adults with disabilities, a field in the retail industry that is often overlooked. This witnesses a positive development in the awareness of the needs of the disabled, with garments specifically designed for these consumers on a small scale.
The fashion brand owned by PVH corp. launched a collection for disabled adults focusing on functional and tailored clothing. The line consists of 37 men’s and 34 women’s styles.
Tommy Hilfiger’s new line features a range of pants, dress-shirts, T-shirts, dresses, jackets, sweatshirts & shorts with specifications as Velcro waist closures, adjusted hems & seams, magnetic closures hidden behind classic button fronts, magnetic zip, adjusted leg openings & Velcro closure pockets.
Tommy Hilfiger developed this new line after being praised with his collection for children with disabilities (Runway of Dreams) in spring 2016, but the line of adaptive clothing for adults with disabilities is the first sportswear line based on pieces from Tommy Hilfiger collection.
“Inclusivity and democratization of fashion have always been at the core of my DNA”. stated by Tommy Hilfiger on the Tommy adaptive line.
