It’s time to Vacay!

Hello Summer! Finally, you are here.

As i scroll through my social media, it seems like everyone is either planning or already on their summer break- enjoying the sun on the closest beach to them. As some of us are planning the typical euro trip to Paris, Milan or Zurich, we decided to give out our top 5 Vacay towns, alternatives to these big touristic destinations that are super relaxing and refreshing.

  1. La Spezia

My personal favorite town, La Spezia is only 3 hours drive from the historic and bustling city of Milan. This port city has more to offer than just a beautiful view. You can explore the adventurous side of you by going swimming, snorkeling, trekking, hiking etc.

2. Oberhofen

A heritage town 2 hours drive from Zurich, is known for its Oberhofen Castle and exquisite gardens.

3. Biarritz

Is an elegant seaside town on southwestern France’s Basque coast. An hour and a half flight away from Paris, you will find yourself on a perfect and clean sand beach. Little towns like Anglet and Bayonne are just an hour away and can represent perfect day trips.

4. Rouen

An hour away from Paris, this city has a lovely ciy center to visit. This city is filled with a collection of romantic half-timbered houses, historic monuments, gothic churches built in the roman era and the spiers of Notre Dame taking over the city skyline. If you find yourself in Rouen you must go to Dame cakes for tea and my favourite lemon tart.

5. Lugano

Located in southern Switzerland’s Italian-speaking Ticino region, Lugano has a Swiss-Mediterranean mix of cultures closely related to that of Italy’s northern Lombardy region. This mix is reflected in its architecture and cuisine. Only 3 hours drive from Zurich, here you can admire a mesmerzing sunset with your loved one.
